Organization of American States (OAS)

OAS Academic Scholarship for Graduate Studies provides support to a permanent resident of an OAS member state who has obtained a university degree. The scholarship provides an up to $30,000 fund that can be used to cover Roundtrip airfare (from the sponsoring country to the country of study), tuition and mandatory fees, yearly books allowance (US $300 for onsite studies / US $1,000 for online studies), health insurance (for onsite students only), and monthly complementary subsistence allowance (for onsite students only).

    The applicant must have obtained a university degree by the time of applying for the Scholarship. OAS Academic Scholarships are awarded for full-time studies at any university in an OAS Member State, with the exception of the applicants sponsoring country.

    The applicant must be a permanent resident of an OAS Member State (or OAS member state citizen).
  • Citizenship:
    The applicant must be an OAS member state citizen (or a permanent resident of an OAS Member State).

  • Recommendation Letters:
    Three (3) recommendation letters: Preferably 2 different letters from current or former professors using the OAS Recommendation Statement Form, and one (1 ) from a current or previous employer using the Employer Recommendation Form
  • Other Materials:
    The applicant must submit a copy of the diploma for the highest degree obtained. (Bachelor of Master), unconditional Admission letter from university and identification from sponsoring country.
