AWS International Scholarship Program provides international students financial assistance to pursue welding and other joining technology courses.Eligible students must not be from North America and should be in the top 20% of their institution.

Eligibility Requirements

    Both Bachelors and advanced degrees.
  • Financial Need:
    Preferred
  • Class Rank:
    Student must be in the top 20% of the institutions grading system.
  • Residence:
    The International Scholarship Program is not available to students who reside in North America; i.e., Canada, United States, or Mexico.
  • Major/Career:
    Applicant must have completed at least one year of welding or related field of study at the Baccalaureate degree-granting institution.
  • Organization:
    Applicants for scholarships and designated institutions are strongly encouraged to be members of AWS.

    Two page Professional Goal Statement to include a brief biography.
  • Recommendation Letters:
    Two letters of personal reference.
  • Other Materials:
    International Scholarship Application Form. (Applicant's name, address, telephone number. Applicant's e-mail address if available. The facsimile number or e-mail address of an English-speaking contact at the applicant's academic institution is required for communication purposes.) The only fields not required are marital status and sex. All other information is required.Copy of the proposed curriculum.Verification of Enrollment by institution.AWS membership number, if member.Proof of country citizenship.Applicant must submit all required application information.Financial information regarding tuition and fees from the academic institution must be included with each application.
