Earl J. and Irene B. Brooks Scholarship is offered to graduating or past graduates of a Hancock County public high school. The program was created by Earl on his aim to provide support to individuals who want to pursue their college education but hindered by financial difficulties. The scholarship gives funds of $8,283.25 that may be shared among multiple recipients.

    Applicant must write a paragraph outlining reasons for applying for this scholarship and explanation of need.
  • Recommendation Letters:
    The Common Scholarship Application requires two letters of recommendation, obtained through the recommendations section on the online application, regardless of how many scholarships to which you plan to apply. Recommendations may not be written by family members, school administrators, or guidance counselors.
  • Other Materials:
    Applicant must submit a Completed College Costs Estimator form. All applicants must submit one high-quality, color headshot (shoulders and up). A professional senior photo is preferred. HCCF reserves the right to request additional photos if the submitted photo is not acceptable.
