This scholarship was established to benefit undergraduate or graduate students who demonstrated the desire to bring back expertise from experience in post-high to help the Hawaiian community in Hawai`i. Applicants must also demonstrate community service, participation in athletics and financial need.

    Must be either a classified undergraduate or graduate student
  • Financial Need:
    Required
  • Character Traits:
    Demonstrate desire to bring back expertise from experience in post-high to help the Hawaiian community in Hawai`i.
  • College:
    Enrolled in a two or four-year, accredited college institution in Hawai`i or the continental U.S.
  • Extracurricular:
    Demonstrate community service and participation in athletics.

    Personal Statement Questions:1. What career do you see yourself in 10-15 years and what life experience(s) has helped you realize this career goal?2. Share a challenging event in your life and how you overcame it and grown from the experience.
  • Recommendation Letters:
    Letter of recommendation from a teacher or a community member/organization who can comment on your overall character, achievement and contribution to serve the greater community.
