K.M. Hatano Scholarship Fund

Hawaii Community Foundation

Through the generosity of Mr. Yasuji Hatano, President of Kokusai Motorcars Company of Japan, this scholarship was established in 1987. The scholarship was designed to recognize men and women from Maui, Lana'i and Moloka'i who have excelled academically and have shown leadership and community involvement. Students majoring in Business Management or visitor industry are given preference.

    High school senior from the County of Maui (which includes Lanai & Molokai)
  • Minimum GPA:
    2.70
  • Financial Need:
    Required
  • Other Academic Requirements:
    Attend as a full-time student (as determined by your schools financial aid office)
  • Residence:
    High school senior from the County of Maui (which includes Lanai & Molokai)
  • College:
    Attend an accredited, four-year, not-for-profit institution in the State of Hawaii
