Louis R. Forte Music Scholarship

Concord Carlisle Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established in 2007, in memory of Louis R. Forte, a music educator for thirty-seven years at Simmons Junior High School and East Aurora High School. The scholarship aims to benefit students who are graduates of East Aurora or West Aurora High School and who have participated in the music program during high school. Participation in the band program is an advantage.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Age/Grade Level:
    Reserved for graduates of East Aurora or West Aurora High School.
  • Financial Need:
    Required
  • Residence:
    Students with a permanent address located within the Community Foundation service area which includes the City of Aurora, southern Kane County, and Kendall County within the State of Illinois.
  • School:
    Reserved for graduates of East Aurora or West Aurora High School.
  • College:
    Accredited institutions may include a two-year college, four-year college or university, professional/trade/vocational school, or graduate school.
  • Major/Career:
    Available to students pursuing a degree in the field of music.
  • Extracurricular:
    Reserved for students who have participated in the music program during high school. Preference will be given to students who have participated in theband program.
