The Masters-in-Education Teacher Incentive Scholarship Program provides a maximum of $10,870 or the full amount of the tuition for a student who has achieved an academic excellence in their college studies. The applicant may use the funds in pursuing a masters degree program in education and agree to teach in an NYS public elementary or secondary school for five years.

Eligibility Requirements
- Age/Grade Level:The applicant must be a graduate of an undergraduate degree.
- Minimum GPA:3.50
- Financial Need:Not Mentioned
- Other Academic Requirements:The applicant must be enrolled in such program on a full-time basis.
- Residence:The applicant must be a legal resident of NYS and have resided in NYS for 12 continuous months.
- Citizenship:The scholarship is given to student who is a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- College:The awardee must have received an undergraduate degree from a college/university located in NYS and have been an NYS resident while earning this degree. He or she must be matriculated in an approved masters degree in education program at a SUNY or CUNY college or university.
- Major/Career:The awardee must be matriculated in an approved masters degree in an education program.
- Miscellaneous:The applicant must not be in default on a student loan made under any NYS or federal education loan program or repayment of any NYS award, be in compliance with the terms of any service condition imposed by a NYS award and execute a Service Contract agreeing to teach for five years in a classroom at a public elementary or secondary school, including charter schools, located in NYS.
