In 2005, The Perry & Sally Sorenson Scholarship Fund for Dependents of Hospitality Workers was established to benefit undergraduate or graduates students who are dependents of employees of Outrigger Enterprises in Hawaii working in a hospitality industry position. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

    Personal Statement: Submit a 900-word Personal Statement, which includes your educational, career, and personal goals. You should also include other information that will demonstrate that you are a worthy scholarship recipient. Your personal statement should describe any outstanding attributes and talents.Your Personal Statement is not limited to answering the following questions, but they must be addressed:What are your reasons for attending college?Why did you choose your course of study?What career goals do you have?New section: There is now a required short essay on our common application. Applicants must answer the following question in a one-page (max. 600 words) statement: How do you plan to give back to Hawai'I?
