This scholarship provides assistance to a classified undergraduate or graduate student who attends an accredited institution in the state of Hawaii, but permanent residency does not have to be in the state of Hawaii.

    Must be either a classified undergraduate or graduate student
  • Minimum GPA:
    3.50
  • Financial Need:
    Required
  • College:
    Must be attending an accredited institution in the state of Hawaii
  • Miscellaneous:
    Must demonstrate interest in Hawaiian language, culture, history; Must demonstrate a commitment to contribute to the greater community

  • Recommendation Letters:
    Must submit two letters of recommendation, one from a social worker or social service agency describing the challenging circumstances, and the second from an employer (or teacher, counselor if not employed)
  • Other Materials:
    Must provide Student Aid Report (SAR) from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
