This scholarship was established in honor of President Ronald Reagan, the 40th President of the United States. The scholarship benefits Ventura County, California, high school seniors who exemplify outstanding leadership skills and personal character. Applicants must be planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study toward a bachelors degree at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States. The award is for undergraduate study only and may be used for education-related expenses such as tuition, fees, books, supplies room and board.

    Top award recipients also may choose a teacher who will receive a grant of $500.
