Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board

This scholarship is created to encourage students who graduate in the top 10% of their high school class to attend a Texas public institution of higher education. Typically, if funding is available, qualifying students who submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) by the state priority deadline of **March 15th, have financial need, and enroll full-time in a Texas public college or university in the fall semester may be eligible to receive an award.

    Must complete 30 semester credit hours (SCH) in the previous year
  • College:
    Must enroll in Texas public two-year and four-year Colleges or Universities
  • Miscellaneous:
    FAFSA or TASFA must be processed and cannot be in a REJECTED status prior to March 15th. To meet the Priority 1 deadline, a Student Aid Report (SAR) for the student must be on file at the college or university
