This scholarship is created to provide assistance to students who reside in Texas (or are non-resident) and with financial need to enable them to attend private, non-profit colleges or universities in Texas.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    2.50
  • Financial Need:
    Required
  • Other Academic Requirements:
    Must be enrolled in Texas in a degree plan leading to a first associate, baccalaureate, master's or doctoral degree; Must complete at least 24 credit hours per year (18 credit hours per year if a graduate student) with a minimum completion rate of 75%; Must be enrolled at least 3/4 time
  • Residence:
    Must be resident of Texas (or are non-resident)
  • College:
    Must enroll in an eligible institution in Texas private, nonprofit colleges or universities
  • Miscellaneous:
    Must register for Selective Service or be exempt from this requirement
