The Walter and Anna Soneson Scholarship Fund is awarded to graduating high school senior from Duluth public high school. Applicants must be resident of the City of Duluth for at least three years

    Soneson Scholarships are granted to high school seniors who meet the following requirements
  • Financial Need:
    Required
  • Other Academic Requirements:
    Scholastic standing in the upper one-third of their classACT or SAT test satisfactorily completed
  • Character Traits:
    Be of good character
  • Residence:
    Have been a resident of the City of Duluth for at least three years preceding graduation and attended a Duluth public high school thereof
  • School:
    Attended a Duluth public high school thereof
  • College:
    Plan to attend as a full time student, any accredited college or university in the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Indiana, or Illinois.
  • Religion:
    Be of the Protestant faith (Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, Congregationalist, etc)
