Scholarships for Library Science Majors

Forget the stereotypical image of a librarian quieting students and showing them how to use the card catalog. A career in public, medical, college or other types of libraries can be challenging and rewarding, and many schools offer degree programs in library science. Since a master’s degree can be required for this field, tuition and fees wrack up. The good news: there’s scholarships available to help with these costs. Applicants might be asked to submit letters of recommendation, references and a personal essay, in addition to demonstrating academic achievement and financial need. Find stacks of information about these scholarships below.
