Scholarships for North Carolina Residents

North Carolina is home to some of the finest universities in the country, so it is no wonder when North Carolina residents are excited to study in their home state. But like everywhere else, paying tuition at colleges can be a challenge. The good news is, there are a number of scholarships available exclusively to students from or studying in North Carolina to ease the financial pressure. Some of these scholarships are offered by state or local governments, as well as North Carolina based nonprofit organizations. Others are awarded by in-state schools, and still others by local companies who want to support the education of North Carolinians. To apply to many of these scholarships, you will need to show your commitment and service to your state. Check out the list below to get an idea of the scholarship opportunities available to students living or studying in North Carolina.
