Scholarships for Southern California Residents

Southern California – the land of sun, sand and surf. But for some students, it can also be the land of student debt. Luckily, there are plenty of scholarships available for students from or studying in Southern California. Various local governments, companies headquartered in Southern California and private foundations are just some of the groups that offer scholarship opportunities designed especially to give SoCal students a hand in affording higher education. The requirements for each scholarship are different, but most require the submission of an academic transcript, a personal statement, and letters of recommendation.
