Scholarships for Speech Pathology Majors

Speech Pathology Majors embark on the noble pursuit of helping children and adults with speech disorder or delays learn how to communicate more clearly and effectively. But, before they can begin their work as a pathologist or pathology assistant, Speech Pathology Majors must first pay for their college education. Luckily, a number of scholarships are available. Some scholarships are offered by nonprofit organizations and funds such as National AMBUCS, Inc. and the Dennis Klatt Memorial Fund. Others are offered by the individual colleges and universities with Speech Pathology programs such as Ball State University, Emerson College, Idaho State University and Northern Arizona University. In general, applying students will need to meet a minimum grade point average, demonstrate a certain level of financial need, obtain letters of recommendation or write Speech Pathology-related essays.
