Scholarships for Students with a Learning Disability

Students with learning disabilities could face a challenge when pursing a scholarship, as their disability might have impeded them in the classroom and on tests and thus led them to fall short in meeting certain academic requirements for these awards. The good news? There are many scholarships available for students with learning disabilities, such as dyslexia and ADHD. A main source for these types of scholarships are national associations, such as the National Center for Learning Disabilities and the American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD). Eligibility requirements vary and could include at least a 3.0 GPA, documentation of disability and demonstration of financial need. Some require that students are pursuing a degree in a particular field of study. Other programs are funded by corporations, nonprofit organizations and private donors for memorial scholarships. Awards can be one-time or annual scholarships ranging from $500 up to $10,000. Use the list below to get more details about the many scholarships available to students with learning disabilities.
