Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established to benefit students planning to enroll as an undergraduate student in U.S. accredited college or university in the Fall of 2016. Applicants must be pursuing degrees in STEM fields. Applicants must be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Age/Grade Level:
    High School Senior, High School Graduate or students who have earned a GED
  • Minimum GPA:
    2.70
  • Financial Need:
    Required
  • Residence:
    Must reside in Southern California Edison's service area
  • Citizenship:
    Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States. Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau are also eligible to apply.
  • College:
    Be enrolling as an undergraduate student in a U.S. accredited college or university in the Fall of 2016.
  • Major/Career:
    Preference will be given to students pursuing degrees in STEM fields
  • Ethnicity:
    Be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census

  • Recommendation Letters:
    One letter of recommendation from an individual who knows you and is familiar with your community service and leadership activities. A teacher, advisor, work supervisor, community service leader, or any other adult familiar with you could serve as a recommender. Recommendations from relatives will not be accepted.
