The Charles K. & Ola I. Gose Scholarship Fund was established to benefit graduating seniors from Channel Islands High School or a Camarillo City resident who is graduating from any Ventura County high school. Applicants must be pursuing study in the fields of Civics, Education (Teaching), or Government (Political Science) at an accredited 4-year college or university.

  • Essay:
    Applicant essay must address a political, governmental, or community topic. Applicants must show involvement in government, civics, and/or teaching.
  • Recommendation Letters:
    2 letters of recommendation required, at least 1 from a current teacher at the school you attend. You will need the email addresses of your teachers, counselors,professors, employers in order to send them an email request for letters of recommendation. You may request paper letters of recommendation. If you choose to do this, you will upload electronic versions of the letters with your online scholarship application. Please note: VCCF does not accept letters of recommendation from family members of applicants.
