The Engineering/Geology Scholarship is awarded to a college sophomore, a junior student pursuing major in mining, geology, mineral processing, metallurgy, electrical, mechanical and environmental. Applicants must be resident of Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Texas, Utah, or Wyoming

    Both a U.S. citizen and a legal resident of one of the Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute member states Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Texas, Utah, or Wyoming
  • Citizenship:
    Both a U.S. citizen and a legal resident of one of the Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute member states Arizona, Colorado,Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Texas, Utah, or Wyoming
  • Major/Career:
    Pursuing a degree in a mining-related field or in the engineering disciplines such as mining, geology, mineral processing, metallurgy, electrical, mechanical and environmental
  • Miscellaneous:
    Have an expressed interest in Western coal as a career path.
  • Other Benefits:
    The selected students are also offered an all-expense paid trip to the RMCMI Annual Meeting and Convention in late June where they have the opportunity to meet industry leaders and attend all of the technical sessions.
