This scholarship originated from the Rockefeller Fund that was established in 1966. The fund was renamed in 1993 and in 1999, Mrs. Edward Elliman chose to promote wetlands conservation through the support of young scientists in their field work and research. This scholarship will benefit students enrolled in a graduate program at a university within the United States.
