James F. Schumar Scholarshi

American Nuclear Society (ANS)

Founded in honor of James Francis Schumar, a pioneering metallurgist in the study of uranium and its uses in nuclear technology and safety, the scholarship is given to deserving graduate students enrolled in a course of study relating to a degree in nuclear science or nuclear engineering. Applicants must be ANS student members and attending an accredited institution in the United States with an established ANS Student Section or Alpha Nu Sigma chapter. Applications must also be sponsored by a faculty advisor of an ANS Student Section or an individual ANS member.
