Kalamazoo Community Foundation

This scholarship was established by the Kreager family to provide financial assistance to college-bound graduating high school seniors that have suffered the loss of a parent or parents through death or abandonment after infancy. Applicants must be graduating high school senior of South Haven High School or must reside in Kalamazoo County and must be planning to attend an accredited institution for vocational/technical training or a two- or four-year degree either part or full time.

    Provide your response to the following two questions (your answer to both questions cannot exceed 4000 characters); 1) What influenced you to choose an area of study in business, science, education, psychology, law or medicine?; 2) What has been your most meaningful volunteer or work experience and how has it helped to develop your leadership skills?
  • Recommendation Letters:
    Two copies of the Scholarship Recommendation Form and Letters of Recommendation. One must be completed by an adult who can evaluate your character and potential; one must be completed by an adult who can verify you meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Other Materials:
    Must submit FAFSA and ACT/SAT scores
