The United Negro College Fund

The SAR Family Emergency Scholarship Program is a need-based award provided to junior or senior students of a UNCF affiliated schools. The applicant must be involved in community service to qualify. The program provides an up to $5,000 fund depending on the need of the student. The need is determined and verified by the attending university or college.

    The awardee must be attending a UNCF affiliated college or university.

    Describe your need for an emergency last dollar scholarship. Please explain your current circumstances and how this emergency scholarship would assist you with completing your education. Compelling essays will be shared directly with the donor. Please compose a well-written, proofread and thoughtful essay between 500-600 words.
