Stephen Madry Peck, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties

Created in memory of Stephen Madry Peck, Jr., this scholarship is open to all graduating senior of any Palm Beach County public high schools who will pursue a major or minor in French or Spanish language or culture at an accredited vocational school, two or four-year college or university. Applicant must be African-American graduating seniors who are high achiever in French or Spanish as a second language.

Application Details

  • Judging Criteria:
    Scholarship recipients are selected by the Community Foundation's Scholarship Committee on the basis of the applicant's academic record; potential to succeed; demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities; work experience; a statement of education and career goals; and unusual personal or family circumstances. Recipients are selected on an objective and competitive basis considering academic and non-academic factors. A personal interview for finalists is required. All scholarships are approved by the Foundation's Board of Directors.
