Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established to benefit students planning to enroll as an undergraduate student in U.S. accredited college or university. Applicants must be pursuing a degree that will lead to a career as a health care professional. Students must demonstrate a commitment to working in underserved communities.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Age/Grade Level:
    Enrolling as a full-time, degree-seeking, second-year student in the upcoming academic year at an accredited U.S. college or university.
  • Minimum GPA:
    2.70
  • Financial Need:
    Required
  • Residence:
    Students must reside in the following states: AZ, CA, GA, HCO, FL, I, KS, MN, NC, NM, NV, NY, TN, TX, WA or WI.
  • Citizenship:
    Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States. Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau are also eligible to apply.
  • College:
    Enrolling as a full-time, degree-seeking, second-year student in the upcoming academic year at an accredited U.S. college or university.
  • Major/Career:
    Plan to pursue a degree that will lead to a career as a health care professional. Primary health care professionals include: general practitioners, internists, family practitioners, OB/GYNs, dentists, public health professionals, mental health professionals, nurses, physician assistants, and pharmacists.
  • Ethnicity:
    Be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census

    One letter of recommendation from an individual who knows you and is familiar with your community service and leadership activities. A teacher, advisor, work supervisor, community service leader, or any other adult familiar with you could serve as a recommender. Recommendations from relatives will not be accepted.
