Scholarships for Statistics Majors

From actuary to teacher, a degree in statistics can lead to many different careers. If you're contemplating pursuing this type of degree, you'll want to research scholarships that are available to statistics majors. The first place you can look is the mathematical or statistics departments of universities offering degrees in this field. Some of these scholarships require at least one or more of the following: academic achievement, degree level, student classification and financial need. Some are offered to students based on gender or ethnicity. Scholarships for statistics majors are also funded by nonprofit organizations, foundations and professional associations, such as the American Statistical Association and Actuarial Foundation, as well as specific businesses, such as insurance companies and consulting firms.
