Eligibility Requirements

  • Age/Grade Level:
    Open to undergraduates of sophomore standing or higher OR graduate students with at least one year of full-time enrollment remaining in their program
  • Financial Need:
    Required
  • Residence:
    You must reside in the greater Los Angeles area during Summer 2016Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents
  • Citizenship:
    Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, asylees, or individuals who are lawfully authorized to work full-time without restriction for any U.S. employer and who, at the time of application, possess lawful evidence of employment authorization.
  • College:
    Full-time enrollment in an accredited university during the period for which scholarship is requested.
  • Major/Career:
    A declared major in business or human resources, or interest in the field of human resources
  • Extracurricular:
    Consistent, active participation in public and/or community service activities
  • Organization:
    Will award up to five internships at SHRM member organizations in the greater Los Angeles area
