Scholarships for Consumer Science Majors

Consumer science is a broad field of study which examines the relationship between people and the environment by looking at nutrition, aging, food safety and other topics. Consumer science majors can go on to become marketing strategists, consumer advocates or family counselors, among other things. If you’re trying to figure out how to pay for your degree in consumer science, you may want to consider looking into a scholarship. Many of the available scholarships are offered by individual colleges, such as Montana State University, the University of Nebraska and Texas State University. Others are offered by professional organizations, such as the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. Applicants may be required to meet a minimum grade point average, demonstrate financial need or submit an application essay.
