Established in memory of Clarence Buck Boyce, Jr., the Clarence "Buck" Boyce Jr. Memorial Scholarship aims to help a graduating high school senior pursue a career in materials engineering or mechanical engineering. This scholarship was created to honor Clarence Buck Boyce, Jr.'s generosity and forgiveness of others.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Age/Grade Level:
    A graduating senior from a public Johnson County high school, Perry Meridian High School or Franklin Central High School or those involved with welding trades at Central Nine Career Center
  • Minimum GPA:
    2.0
  • Financial Need:
    Required
  • Character Traits:
    Exhibits good character and commitment to school
  • School:
    A graduating senior from a public Johnson County high school, Perry Meridian High School or Franklin Central High School or those involved with welding trades at Central Nine Career Center
  • College:
    Enrolled full-time at an accredited public or private college or university
  • Major/Career:
    Planning a career in materials engineering or mechanical engineering. If there are no candidates for one of these fields, the selection committee will consider those pursuing automotive design or nursing
  • Miscellaneous:
    Exhibits good character and commitment to schoolDemonstrates the potential to succeed in college and chosen area of study
