Scholarships for Chemical Engineering Majors

Of all the areas of study included in the STEM fields, chemical engineering is certainly one of the most specialized. It merges the disciplines of the life sciences, the physical sciences and engineering into a major which can lead to careers in energy, chemistry, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and more. Before you can start designing a new form of renewable energy, however, you’ll first need to address the issue of paying for your education. Fortunately, there are several scholarships available to chemical engineering majors that you might be eligible for. Many of these scholarships are offered by individual universities, such as Texas A&M University, Virginia Polytechnic University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Louisiana Tech University. Others are funded by professional groups, such as the Southwest Chemical Association, the American Chemical Society and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. If you’d like to learn more about scholarships for chemical engineering majors and find out which ones you may be eligible for, continue reading below.
