Donna Duzan Nursing Scholarship is provided to graduating students or past graduates of a private, parochial or public high school. The program gives a $500 fund to students of Hancock County who wants to pursue a degree in Nursing. The scholarship was created in memory of Donna by her husband Ronald.

    The applicant must be graduating students or past graduates of a private, parochial or public high school.
  • Major/Career:
    The awardee must plan to pursue a degree program for registered nursing or a specialization program within the nursing field.

  • Judging Criteria:
    Selection will be based primarily on financial need. Preference may be given to those who have proof of acceptance into a nursing program.

  • Recommendation Letters:
    The Common Scholarship Application requires two letters of recommendation, obtained through the recommendations section on the online application, regardless of how many scholarships to which you plan to apply. Recommendations may not be written by family members, school administrators, or guidance counselors.
  • Other Materials:
    Applicant must submit their Proof of GED, if applicable, a letter of introduction, including why you want to study nursing and your clinical area(s) of interestand a proof of acceptance into a nursing program (if applicable). Applicant must submit a Completed College Costs Estimator form. All applicants must submit one high-quality, color headshot (shoulders and up). A professional senior photo is preferred. HCCF reserves the right to request additional photos if the submitted photo is not acceptable.
