Johnson County Community Foundation

Established in 2002, the EAA Chapter 1354 Aviation Scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to high school seniors from Johnson County. Applicants must plan to take up studies leading to a commercial pilot, air transport pilot, or aeronautical engineering at a certified EAA-approved university.

    A graduating high school senior or currently enrolled as a freshman at one of the EAA-approved schools (home-schooled students are eligible)

  • Residence:
    A Johnson County resident (or member of EAA Chapter 1354)
  • College:
    Accepted to pursue a full-time associate or baccalaureate course of study at one of the following five EAA-approved schools: Purdue University School of Aviation, Vincennes University, Indiana State University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University or University of Illinois
  • Major/Career:
    Planning a career as a commercial pilot, air transport pilot, in airport administration, or in the field of aeronautical engineering
  • Extracurricular:
    Exhibits good character and commitment to school and community
  • Organization:
    Member of EAA Chapter 1354 (or A Johnson County resident)
  • Miscellaneous:
    Demonstrates the potential to succeed in college and chosen area of studyStandardized test scores, GPA and/or class rank which demonstrates academic preparation and performance
