Established in 2012, the award recognizes and rewards promising young engineers and scientists in fields pertaining to this Energy Technology Division. Applicant must be enrolled in a college or university as a graduate student or have been accepted for enrollment by the nomination deadline. Recipient of the award is encouraged to initiate or continue careers in this field.

    Aside from $1,000 prize, the award includes a scroll, complimentary student meeting registration, and complimentary admission to the Division Business Meeting. Recipient is also required to present a lecture in an ETD-sponsored symposium at the designated Society meeting where the award is presented.
