This scholarship was established to benefit students currently enrolled in a 2-year nursing program or a 4-year nursing program or in an MSN program who intend to practice a minimum of 2 years in Ventura County upon completion of studies. Applicants must be residents of Ventura County and demonstrate financial need.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Age/Grade Level:
    Students currently enrolled in a 2-year nursing program or a 4-year nursing program or in an MSN program
  • Minimum GPA:
    2.50
  • Financial Need:
    Required
  • Other Academic Requirements:
    Minimum 2.5 GPA (including core biological courses: anatomy, physiology, microbiology, with no more than one repeat or withdrawal in any of these specific courses)
  • Residence:
    Ventura County residents
  • College:
    Applicant must be enrolled in a 2-year nursing program for A.D.N. in Ventura County, Santa Barbara County or Los Angeles County OR be from Ventura County and enrolled in a 4-year nursing program for a B.S.N. degree or enrolled for an M.S.N. degree at an accredited college or university in Southern California.

    Nursing (Pursuing A.D.N., B.S.N. or M.S.N.)
  • Miscellaneous:
    Preference given to Ventura County residents and prior recipients of the Forgivable Loan award in the selection process. Students complete a separate application form for the Forgivable Loan including an itemized budget form.
