The Vicky Howard Community Service Award was started to benefit a graduating senior from a Simi Valley or Moorpark area high school pursuing a post-secondary education at an accredited four-year college or university. Applicants must be a resident of Simi Valley or Moorpark for a minimum of 18 continuous months immediately preceding the scholarship application deadline.

    Enrolling full-time at an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Residence:
    A resident of Simi Valley or Moorpark for a minimum of 18 continuous months immediately preceding the scholarship application deadline
  • School:
    Graduating senior from a Simi Valley or Moorpark area high school,
  • College:
    Enrolling full-time at an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Extracurricular:
    Students must show outstanding dedication to community service in the Simi Valley or Moorpark area for at least 18 consecutive months prior to the application deadline.

  • Recommendation Letters:
    2 letters of recommendation required, at least 1 from a current teacher at the school you attend. You will need the email addresses of your teachers, counselors,professors, employers in order to send them an email request for letters of recommendation. You may request paper letters of recommendation. If you choose to do this, you will upload electronic versions of the letters with your online scholarship application. Please note: VCCF does not accept letters of recommendation from family members of applicants.
