Scholarships for San Francisco County (CA) Residents

San Francisco may be the smallest county in California, but it’s not without its charms – Golden Gate Park, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Major League Baseball’s San Francisco Giants, to name just a few. Another perk you might not be aware of? If you live in San Francisco, that fact alone may make you eligible for a college scholarship. A number of the available scholarships are provided by the area’s philanthropic foundations, including the East Bay College Fund and the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. Others are offered by individual colleges, such as San Francisco State University, Golden Gate University, University of San Francisco, University of California San Francisco and the San Francisco Art Institute. Applying students will typically need to demonstrate a certain level of financial need, meet a minimum grade point average, pursue a particular area of study or all of the above. If you’d like to learn more about scholarships for San Francisco County residents, keep reading below.
