Scholarships for American Studies Majors

Are you seeking a liberal arts education that allows you to learn more about the culture, arts and history of the United States? If so, you might enter a degree program in American studies. This is an interdisciplinary course of study; thus, scholarships in this area can be found through programs granting awards to those pursuing degrees in history, social science, liberal arts or even literature. Many scholarships for American studies majors are offered through departments of American studies in various colleges and universities across the country. Academic achievement and financial need, as well as completion of a FASFA form, often are requirements for these types of scholarships. Some associations and foundations, such as the Daughters of the American Revolution, offer scholarships for those studying American history or government.
