Scholarships for Animal Science Majors

Do you know what a cow’s favorite food is? Do you often find yourself contemplating the psychology of chickens? If so, there’s a good chance you’re an animal science major. If you’re trying to figure out how to pay for your education in animal science, a scholarship may be able to help. Many of the available scholarships are funded by nonprofit organizations, such as Agriculture Future of America, Cooperative Resources International, National Dairy Shrine and the Huyck Preserve & Biological Research Station. Others are provided by individual colleges and universities, including Oregon State University, Michigan State University and California Polytechnic State University. Applying students will typically need to meet a minimum grade point average, and may also be required to demonstrate financial need, write an essay or obtain letters of recommendation.
