Scholarships for Geology Majors

Geology majors love the study of the earth, its history and its composition. What they usually do not love is finding ways to pay for their higher education. To help out with that, geology students can apply for any of a number of scholarships tailored to their degree. Many geology programs at accredited universities offer scholarships to enrolled students. Private foundations, local service clubs and industry organizations also offer scholarships to aspiring geologist. Requirements for these scholarships usually include good academic standing (often a GPA of 3.0 or higher), demonstration of financial need, and a student-submitted essay outlining academic and career goals. Some scholarships also include an internship or research component. Check out the list of geology scholarships below to find one that works for you.
