Scholarships for Kane County (IL) Residents

Kane County, the fifth most populous county in Illinois, is home to about 500,000 people. If you’re one of them, you could be eligible for a number of college scholarships. Since 1948, the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley has awarded upwards of $14 million in educational aid to residents of Kane County and the surrounding area, and continues to offer a number of scholarships today. Other scholarships are provided by individual colleges, such as Elgin Community College, Aurora University, Judson University and Waubonsee Community College. In general, applying students will need to meet a minimum grade point average, pursue particular field of study, demonstrate a certain level of financial need or obtain letters of recommendation, in addition to other potential eligibility requirements.
