Scholarships for Nuclear Science Majors

Nuclear science majors are able to pursue careers in many different fields, from healthcare to energy to scientific research. Before they can start devising new ways to harness nuclear energy, however, nuclear science majors need to start thinking about how they’re going to cover the cost of their education. Fortunately, scholarships specifically geared towards nuclear science majors are provided by private organizations, such as the American Nuclear Society, as well as government organizations, such as the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the National Nuclear Security Administration. Students applying for such scholarships may need to provide copies of their transcripts, meet a minimum grade point average, demonstrate their passion for nuclear science or all of the above.
