Scholarships for Graphic Arts Majors

With their extensive, finely tuned skills, graphic arts majors can go into a wide variety of career fields, from film production to marketing to video game design. Before they can start designing the next Call of Duty, however, Graphic Arts majors need to pay for their education. If you’re a Graphic Art majors trying to figure out how to cover the cost of your degree, you might want to consider applying for a scholarship. Some of the available scholarships are offered by organizations and foundations such as the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation, the American Institute of Graphic Artists and the Ann Arbor Graphic Arts Memorial Foundation. Others are funded by colleges and universities such as the California University of Pennsylvania, the Art Institutes system, the Rhode Island School of Design, Academy of Art University and Virginia Commonwealth University. This scholarship was established in 1990 by the Cole Foundation. The Cole Foundation was established in 1965 as a private foundation with gifts from Elizabeth S. Cole and Robert L. Cole in memory of their parents, William B. and Elizabeth Little Cole, and their sister, Catherine Cole.
