Varsity Sports Scholarships

If you’re a varsity athlete, then you already know what it’s like to practice, train and practice some more until you meet your goals. However, no amount of training can make it any easier to pay for a higher education. Luckily, various varsity sports scholarships are available. Some of the available scholarships are offered by organizations such as the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the National Junior College Athletic Association. Additionally, Division I and II colleges and universities award athletes with sports-based scholarships, while Division III colleges and universities award athletes with academics-based scholarships. Requirements vary from scholarship to scholarship, but applying students will typically need to make in onto a sports team at the college of their choice, meet a minimum grade point average, demonstrate a certain level of financial need or submit official transcripts.
