Established in 2013 by the Harris Foundation, this scholarship awarded to graduating senior from Harding Charter Preparatory High School. Applicants must have an unweighted GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 and must show plans to attend a college or university as a full-time student in the state of Oklahoma.

  • Essay:
    Describe your career goals and how your education will help you achieve your goals. What school do you want to attend, and why is this school a good fit for you? (Please limit to 500 words.); Reflect on a teacher, coach or administrator whose guidance influenced you to continue your education. (Please limit to 500 words.); Write an essay in which you share information about yourself and your goals: (a) Who and how did someone inspire you to continue your education? (b) Describe a defining moment in your life, and if it was a negative experience, how did you turn it around? (c) Describe a high school classroom activity or assignment that was challenging and gave you a feeling of mastery when completed. (d) Write about an adult you have met through an extracurricular activity who prompted you to consider a career or profession like theirs. Please include reference to your academic/career goals, as well as your extracurricular involvements if applicable. (500 word maximum.)
  • Recommendation Letters:
    Please submit the name and email address of someone--teacher/professor, guidance counselor, principal, community leader, or employer--who can submit a letter of recommendation on your behalf. The person you request a letter from should be able to speak to your abilities and capacity in the areas of education, leadership and community service.
