Scholarships for Oklahoma Residents

If you live in Oklahoma – or attend college in Oklahoma – you should know that there are scholarship opportunities available to you based on your residency in the Sooner State. Individual colleges and universities award many scholarships for Oklahoma residents, while others are provided by local nonprofits, government agencies and businesses. Some scholarships may favor students majoring in certain high-need fields, such as medicine, teaching and public services. As such, recipients may have to agree to work in state for a period of time following graduation. In addition to the residency requirement, applicants may need to meet a minimum GPA requirement and/or have financial need. Letters of recommendation, school transcripts and a personal statement also may be requested. If you live in Oklahoma, check out the scholarship opportunities below.
