Scholarships for Biology Majors

Biologists have made some of the most important contributions to the world of science: From Charles Darwin’s Theory of Evolution to Robert Hooke’s discovery of cells, the field of biology has produced some truly extraordinary findings. Before you can become the next scientific superstar, however, you first need to complete your college education. Paying for that education can sometimes seem more daunting than cloning a sheep, but scholarships can help to make it a little easier. Many scholarships for biology majors are available, including those offered by organizations such as the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program, the National Institute of Health, the American Council of Independent Laboratories, the University of Houston, the University of Utah and many more. Potential recipients may be required to meet a minimum GPA, submit samples of their experiments and research or provide letters of recommendation.
