The scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to outstanding underrepresented minority students who are pursuing a degree in the chemical sciences or chemical technology in an accredited college, university, or community college.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Age/Grade Level:
    Be a graduating high school senior or college freshman, sophomore or junior
  • Minimum GPA:
    3.0
  • Financial Need:
    Required
  • Class Rank:
    "B" or better
  • Residence:
    Be a permanent U.S. resident
  • Citizenship:
    Be a U.S. citizen
  • College:
    Accredited college, university, or community college
  • Major/Career:
    Pursuing a college degree in the chemical sciences or chemical technology
  • Ethnicity:
    Be African-American, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian
  • Miscellaneous:
    Demonstrate financial need according to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form (FAFSA) and the Student Aid Report (SAR) form
  • Other Benefits:
    Demonstrate high academic achievement in chemistry or science
