In 2002, the Mid-Atlantic Nursery Trade Show, Inc. established a scholarship in honor of Mr. Akehurst which aims to help students pursue a career, degree or profession in the nursery and landscaping field.

    Be a resident of one of the three MANTS member states: Maryland, Virginia, or West Virginia.
